Air Transport

Air transport is as the name suggest, goods are transported via air for urgent items that are needed. DLF has the needy process in place for our clients to get their goods in the fastest time possible. Time is of the essence for air freight and we will always aim to get the fastest possible transit time while keeping in mind the charges for clients. A rough break down of air freight is as below.

Supplier sending goods to origin airport -> goods arriving in Australia -> airport unpack goods -> pick up from warehouse -> delivering it to client

Ocean Transport

Ocean transport is the bread and butter of any freight industry, due to this, DLF has ensured all our staff is well versed in regards so that we can handle every aspects. Ocean transport can be broken down into FCL and LCL (full container load and less container load), as a rule of thumb, any shipment that is less than 10cubic metre will be advised for LCL service.

DLF will always give the best advise for our clients with regards to the best cost saving solution depending on the situation.

Warehousing

DLF has 3PL warehouse services all over Australia. The procurement, storage and delivery of steel beams for the Metro Tunnel Project is all covered by DLF. As such, we had covered the storage of 500 tons heavy steel beams for 3-10 months depending on the parts required.

As such, DLF is confident that we are able to cover any warehousing / storage enquires our clients have.

Custom Clearance

All import and export well require either import/export customs clearance. Import items are subjected to duty and GST at 5% and 10% respectively.

DLF is able to provide both services to our clients be it whichever is needed.

In the event of any dangerous cargo, fumigation and customs inspection, we will report is as such through said clearance for goods to be release as soon as possible. If the above does occur, a direction will be provided from Australia’s Customs at every point showing their instructions.

Project Cargo

Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project is an example of Project Cargo. Project cargos by nature requires huge amounts of supplies and resources invested in them.

Anything ranging from industrial hose, weights , steel beams and even cement are needed for them. As imports for such are usually in huge amounts or bulks, we can considering booking a whole vessel or via break bulk to bring the goods in for sharper rates and guaranteed space for our clients.

Referring back to the steel beams DLF did, break bulk vessel are used in regards and as such, we are able to be verse in all sorts of imports that our clients require.
